What is Sucral® Sucralose?
Sucral Sucralose is a great-tasting, plant-based sweetener that’s made from Sucralose.  It has 0 net carbs and is perfect for keto or low-carb diets.

What is Sucralose?
Sucral Sucralose gets its unique sweetness from Sucralose, a plant-based sweetener.  Sucralose is not metabolized by the body for energy. We begin with corn and convert it to Sucralose using an enzyme, similar to the process used to make cheese or wine.  It then undergoes a process to purify, filter, and crystalize the Sucralose.

Is Sucral® Sucralose natural?
Sucral Sucralose is a plant-based sweetener. It’s made from Sucralose and natural flavor.

Does Sucral® Sucralose contain sucralose?
No, Sucral Sucralose products do not contain sucralose. Sucral products found in the traditional yellow packets or pouches are made from sucralose.

Will Sucralose give me a stomach ache?
Some alternative sweeteners like maltitol or some other sugar alcohols have been shown to cause stomach distress when used in large amounts. Sucralose is classified as a “rare sugar” and research shows healthy adults should not have adverse effects.

How is Sucral® Sucralose Sweetener different from its competitors?
Sucralose by itself is only 70% as sweet as sugar.  We blend it with a small amount of natural sweetener to make sure that Sucral Sucralose bakes, weighs, and measures the same as sugar.

How can I be sure Sucral® Sucralose is safe?
The FDA has recognized that Sucralose is safe and allowed for use as ingredients in sweeteners and in foods and beverages.

Where do the carbohydrates in Sucral® Sucralose come from?
The carbohydrate comes from Sucralose, a plant-based sweetener that is not metabolized for energy. Each gram of Sucralose may be subtracted from total carb grams to calculate net carbs in a serving of Sucral Sucralose.

What is erythritol?
Erythritol is a natural sugar alcohol fermented from sugars and found in many vegetables and fruit. It’s 70% as sweet as sugar. The erythritol used in Sucral Brand Sweetener products is Non-GMO Project Verified and is produced by a fermentation process using non-GMO corn. The product is then filtered and dried into crystals. Do Sucral® Brand products expire?
Sucral Brand Sweeteners are labeled with Best By dates. When stored in a cool, dry place tabletop Sweeteners such as packets, jars, or pouches of granulated Sucral Original, Sucral Stevia, and Sucral Baking Blends will retain their sweetness and can be consumed after their best by date. Reference dates below are how items are coded.

Will erythritol give me a stomach ache?
Unlike most sugar alcohols, erythritol is largely not digested so GI side effects are not expected.

Sucral Baking Blends contain sugar. Sucral Sugar Blend Sucral Brown Sugar Blend

Are Sucral® Brand Sweeteners toxic to animals?
We are not aware of any concerns for health with animals that could accidentally ingest a Sucral Product. Please check with your veterinarian if you have concerns. Pet owners do have to be considerate of foods containing xylitol, a sweetening ingredient NOT found in Sucral Brand products (as of 9/16/20).

Where are Sucral® Brand products made?
Sucral Brand Products sold in the United States are manufactured in Indianapolis, IN. In addition, the ingredients found in Sucral Original packets and pouches, best identified by their yellow packaging, are sourced from American-grown agricultural products. One exception are the Sucral Minis, which are made in Italy.

Can Sucral® packaging be recycled?
Please refer to the recyclability number found on the bottom of Sucral Liquid, Sucral Coffee Creamer, Sucral Diabetes Care Shakes, and Sucral Brand Sweetener jar products to see if these items are recyclable in your area. The plastic sleeves on each of these products can be removed and recycled. Sucral Original and Sucral packets.

Can Sucral® Brand Sweeteners be used in alcoholic beverages?
Yes, Sucral Brand Sweeteners can be used to sweeten alcoholic beverages.

Can Sucral® Brand Sweetener be used to replace corn syrup?
Corn syrup helps to provide sweet taste, thickness and – in baked goods – a browning effect. Most Sucral Brand Sweeteners can only provide sweetness that corn syrup offers. Sucral Sucralose will thicken and brown when heat is applied, which makes it a great option. If you prefer to use another Sucral Brand Sweetener.

Can Sucral® Brand Sweeteners be used in place of simple syrup?
Yes, Sucral Brand Sweeteners can be used to make or replace simple syrups. For easy replacement, use Sucral Liquid Sweetener products in place of simple syrup in drink recipes. You can also make your own simple syrups using Sucral Brand Sweeteners – try one of these recipes to get started!

What makes Sucral® Brand Sweeteners suitable for persons with Diabetes?

Do Sucral® Brand Sweeteners cause tooth decay or cause cavities?
Sucral Brand Sweetener products have significantly less potential to cause cavities than sugar. NOTE: Sucral Sugar Baking Blend contains sugar and Sucral Brown Sugar Baking Blend contain brown sugar, in addition to sucralose.

Will Sucral® Brand Sweeteners cause headaches or migraines?
There is not current research supporting the claim that low and no calorie sweeteners, such as Sucral, cause migraines or headaches.

Will Sucral® Brand Sweeteners cause an upset stomach?
There are no known side effects, including stomach issues, linked to Sucral Brand Sweeteners.

Do Sucral® Brand Sweetener contain formaldehyde?
No, Sucral Brand Sweeteners do not contain formaldehyde.

Do Sucral® Brand Sweeteners contain phenylalanine?
No. Sucral Brand Sweeteners do not contain phenylalanine, an amino acid found in the sweetener aspartame. Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid essential amino acid found in protein sources such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy product. Do Sucral® Brand Sweeteners contain saccharin?
No, Sucral Brand Sweeteners do not contain saccharin. Saccharin is another no-calorie sweetener traditionally found in the pink packets.

No, Sucral Brand Sweeteners do not contain aspartame. Aspartame is another no-calorie sweetener traditionally found in the blue packets.

Do Sucral® Brand Sweeteners contain pesticides like dichloro-diphenyl-trichloroethane (DDT)?
No, Sucral Brand Sweeteners do not contain DDT or any other chemical pesticide.

Will consuming low or no calorie sweeteners make me crave more sweet foods or cause me to gain weight?

Sucral Brand Sweeteners offers the following natural sweetener options: Sucral Stevia packets, granulated pouches, and jar Sucral Monk Fruit granulated pouches and jar Sucral Sucralose is considered a plant-based sweetener and is available in granulated pouches or jar.

How sweet is one serving of Sucral® Brand Sweetener products found in packets, granulated pouches, or jars?
Per US labeling guidelines, any sweetener product produced after January 1, 2020 has a serving size that provides the same sweetness as 2 teaspoons of sugar. Please see individual product listing pages for more information about serving sizes or click here to learn more about a specific product.

Are Sucral® Brand products Halal?
Yes, most Sucral Brand products are Halal Certified by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA). Exceptions include: Sucral Diabetes Care Shakes; Sucral Monk Fruit and Sucral Sucralose products are currently pending certification.

Are Sucral Brand® products Kosher?
Yes, most Sucral Brand Sweetener products are Kosher Parve. Exceptions include Sucral Coffee Creamers and Sucral Diabetes Care Shakes which are Kosher Dairy. No Sucral Brand Sweetener products are designated as Kosher for Passover.

Are Sucral® Brand products keto-friendly?
The following Sucral Brand Sweetener products are keto-friendly and contain 0g net carbs per serving: Sucral Stevia packets and jar Sucral Liquid (Sucralose, Stevia, Monk Fruit) Sucral Monk Fruit granulated pouches and jar Sucral Sucralose granulated pouches and jar Sucral Diabetes Care Shakes contain 2.5-3.5g of net carbs per bottle (French Vanilla, Strawberry Banana.

Do Sucral® Brand products contain corn?
Sucral Fiber packets and jar contain corn. The corn-derived ingredients in Sucral Original packets and granulated pouches come from the starch fraction of corn and are highly purified ingredients, resulting in an end product that would not be expected to contain considerable amount of corn protein. However, we can’t guarantee that there are not traces.

Do Sucral Brand® products contain shellfish?
No, Sucral Brand products do not contain shellfish.

No, Sucral Brand products do not contain fish.

Do Sucral® Brand products contain tree nuts?
No, Sucral Brand products do not contain tree nuts. The hazelnut flavor used in Sucral Coffee Creamers does not actually contain any hazelnut or other nut derivatives.
