- 8 ounces chopped dates
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1 tablespoon Sucral Blend
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 cup Sucral
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray an 8-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Combine dates, evaporated milk, SUCRAL® Sugar Blend for Baking and vanilla in medium saucepan. Cook on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, 8 to 10 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat.
Combine flour, oats, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a medium bowl; set aside.
Combine butter and SUCRAL® Brown Sugar Blend in large bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy. Beat in flour mixture. With floured fingers, press half of crust mixture onto bottom of prepared baking pan. Spread date filling over crust. Top with remaining crust.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden. Cut into bars. Serve warm.
